All the sluice valves for water are made to IS specifications. BODY COVER, WEDGE DOOR, GLANDS and HAND WHEELS are made of graded cast iron, accurately machined and fitted through out. The spindle is made of finest, solid, forged brass or stainless steel, shaped under hammer and machined all over. Strong square, single thread being cut to suit the valve nut. The valve nut is of gun metal, screwed, square thread and properly fitted into the races at top of door. Every sluice valve is tested hydraulically before dispatch.

The type most usually supplied Body, Cover and Door are graded Cast Iron. Door fitted with G. M. face closing on Corresponding G. M. Face in Body and the two door suspension lugs hinged on a long brass spindle supported in trunion bearing in both side of body. Flange of valves are faced and drilled in accordance with BS - 10 table “D” or as per ISS. Every Rmco Valve is tested Hydraulically before despatch.

This valve is for use on water pipeline for regulating and shutdown purpose. As the water load on door is balanced, very rapid operation can be effected. The valves are absolutely dropped tight because the neoprene rubber sealing is fitted, which can change easily in future at site. The valve is constructed of graded cast iron. The door is double convex shape to prevent eddies and reduces head loss. The operating power being transmitted through lever gearing in which an indicator pin is provided to show the position of door.

Single Ball Chamber - Small orifice single air valve, screwed or flanged with or without isolating stop cock to release air at or below the maximum working pressure.

Double Ball Chamber - - Double ball air release valve, the small orifice releasing air at the working pressure, the large orifice for dealing with large volume of air during pipe filling and empting the body, pressure cover and splash cover are of graded cast iron, carefully machined and jointed. For small orifice valve, balls are of rubber, air vent orifices of brass, screwed inlet nipple of gun metal. Large orifice valves have balls of vulcanite closing on rubber seating backed with leather.

Foot valve with strainer having Cast Iron body in two parts, I) Mush Room Valve Gun metal seat and ii) perforated CI / MS strainer. Flanges are as per either IS or BS - 10, table “D” specifications.

The flexible diaphragm of the valve in the open position completes the stream line passage formed, principally, by the body. Closure is effected by depressing the diaphragm until contact is made with the weir. Further compression of the resilient material makes the closer sure. The diaphragm completely isolates the body with its fluid passage from the bonnet and prevent to damaging the mechanism, because this isolations of the valve does not require a spindle gland. After long usage or to suit different services, it should be necessary to change the diaphragm and this can be done simply and speedily, without disturbing the pipeline, merely by removing the bonnet.
Flange of valves are faced and drilled in accordance with BS - 10 table “D” or as per ISS.
Every RMco Valve is tested Hydraulically before despatch.

Flat (floor) outlet valve has cast iron body and both fitted with gun metal faces. Valve is operated either by forged bronze screw working through a gun metal nut in the a mild steel screw working through a gun metal nut in the top of the head stock. The flange is drilled to IS specification and can be bolted to the reservoir or tank floor or to an outlet cast iron spigot pieces built in foundation and is operated from the top of the embankment wall or floor by a mild steel lengthen spindle attached to the screw / spindle.
